How hot does the Haven actually get?
The Haven is designed to deliver a true Finnish sauna experience. It can reach temperatures up to 230°F (110°C) in just 30 minutes, thanks to the powerful Harvia heater and premium insulation.
Is this an infrared or a traditional sauna?
This is a traditional steam sauna. It uses an electric stove with hot stones. You can control the humidity and intensity of the heat (the "löyly") by tossing water onto the rocks, which creates steam—something you cannot do in an infrared sauna.
Can I use the sauna in the winter?
Absolutely. The Haven is engineered specifically for outdoor use in all climates. With 42mm thick solid timber walls and a triple-seal system, it retains heat efficiently even in freezing temperatures.
How long does it take to heat up?
You can expect the sauna to be ready in about 30 minutes. The exact time may vary slightly depending on the outside temperature, but the insulation is designed to minimize wait times.
How much does it cost to run?
Because of the high-grade insulation (which reduces energy loss by up to 40%), the Haven 2 is very energy efficient. For a typical session, the electricity cost is usually comparable to running a clothes dryer or large appliance for the same amount of time.

Do I need a special electrical outlet?
Yes. You cannot plug this into a standard household outlet. We strongly recommend hiring a licensed electrician to handle the final setup.
Can I assemble this myself?
Yes, it is designed for DIY assembly. The sauna arrives in flat-pack modules that lock together. Two people can typically assemble the entire unit in 2 to 4 hours with basic tools.
What kind of foundation do I need?
You need a flat, level surface. A concrete slab, paved surface, or a sturdy wooden deck are all excellent options. Do not place it directly on grass or dirt.
Can this sauna be installed indoors?
Yes. While it is built tough enough for the outdoors, the modular design allows you to assemble it indoors (e.g., in a garage or large bathroom) as long as you have the required electrical setup and ventilation clearance.
What are the clearance requirements?
You need a minimum gap of 2 inches (5cm) at the rear and sides, and 12 inches (30cm) overhead to ensuring proper ventilation and airflow for the heater.

What is the difference between Nordic Spruce and Red Cedar?
Nordic Spruce is a classic Finnish choice—bright, durable, and offers a subtle forest aroma. It is a great value option. Red Cedar is the premium "gold standard." It is naturally rot-resistant, stays cooler to the touch, and has that signature rich aromatic scent.
Does the wood require maintenance?
To keep the exterior looking fresh and protected from UV rays/moisture, we recommend applying a timber oil every 6–12 months. The interior should simply be wiped down with water and mild soap as needed.
Is the glass safe?
Yes. We use 8mm thick tempered safety glass. It is factory-tinted for privacy and is significantly stronger and safer than standard glass.
Will the metal hardware rust outdoors?
No. We upgraded all bands, hinges, and fasteners to 316 marine-grade stainless steel, which offers superior corrosion resistance compared to standard steel, even in coastal areas.
Is the roof waterproof?
Yes. The sauna comes with a reinforced roof featuring premium asphalt shingles and a double-underlayment to ensure it is completely watertight.

Can I control the sauna from my phone?
Yes, if you select the Wi-Fi Controlled heater option. This allows you to turn on the sauna remotely so it is hot and ready the moment you get home.
